Judy John-Styles
CEO & AUTHOR
Judy John-Styles, the CEO of Styles Books LLC., is a loving mother of two, a wife to a supportive husband, a woman of faith, and an educator. Originally from the Commonwealth of Dominica, Judy moved to the United States of America at age 12. Judy attended Kean University, where she received two degrees: Psychology and Early Childhood Education. Her degrees have helped her navigate experiences as an educator in all inclusion classrooms, Early Childhood classes, and when working with children with disabilities.
Mommy, Why Can’t I Go to School? is her debut children’s book and she is excited to finally have the opportunity to follow her dreams with this newfound second career. Judy went on to write a second book with her 12-year old daughter, Sarai Styles entitled: Mommy, Why Am I Different?
Judy wants her children’s books to mean something! She wants her books to inspire and impact children everywhere. Through her books, young children will be able to develop social-emotional skills, problem-solving skills, celebrate diversity, and mindfulness to name a few.

I am a young black girl who wants to let all girls know that it is okay to be different. I want to let young girls know to always feel and be confident in themselves and understand that what you look like on the outside does not matter.
